A bit about me.

I'm Andrew — my professional interests are finance and analytics. I like process automation and improving analytical tools. For me, this site is a chance to learn front and back end development using Claude Code, Cloudflare for domain/DNS/SQL DBs, various APIs for projects, GitHub for version control, Python for data work, and RideWithGPS for biking stuff. I mostly want to use this space to showcase my resume and document my cycling thoughts.

How I got here

I had a fairly typical "DC Suburbs" upbringing. In undergrad I studied econ and like many other DC 20-somethings, I moved into Federal Consulting.

I spent 5 years as a defense consultant working on audit readiness with the Air Force and Navy, but wanted to be closer to executing operational improvments. Given my interest in finance from work + statistics from undergrad, I pursued an MBA at Carnegie Mellon focused on Business Analytics.

Following b-school, I was lucky to get a job at Pitney Bowes, where I completed a rotational program in financial services. I've helped with a few teams and now I'm in operational risk.

I'm currently doing a Masters at GT for fun, and I created this site to see how easy Claude Code has made webdev. (It has made it extremely easy)
